Mmm what a gorgeous lady! I’ve always fantasised about being dominated by a black dominatrix. I’d happily dress up in my school uniform and bury myself in her syllabus! No doubt there’d be severe punishment if my efforts we’re deemed sufficient…

I wish articles like this didn’t annoy me as much as they do, but, well they do. How can a person who is seemingly intelligent miss so many huge elements that contradict everything she says she is striving for with her clients?

She lays out that her clients are mostly wealthy, white, straight men and goes on to describe all the work that not only goes into each session but that went into making her a better Domme. And after all that, she sees herself as being empowered by these men submitting to her. Honey, wake up. They are paying you for a service and you are molding yourself to what they want so they come back for more. I wouldn’t even be surprised if some of these clients specifically chose her because of her color so that they could heighten their feelings of debasement by serving not just a woman…..but a black woman. And if you really look at that there’s an assumption that Black women are so inferior that submitting to them is the very height…or depth…. of submission. So she is the rented object of their desires not the mistress of her own.

And the reparation thing is just silly. She thinks doing what she’s paid to do counts as reparation because it involves submission? It’s paid session submission.

She says she is a student of power dynamics and yet she seems to have missed the essence of the class. Do this because it’s who you are. Do it in your real life with a real partner (of whatever color you prefer) and not as a session for pay. Do it your own way and still succeed at it, and THEN I’ll say you mastered what it is to be dominant. Until then, you are still just a black woman working for white men.
