Thursday Thoughts – Is it one for all?

Thursday Thoughts is a weekly column in which Ms. Victoria Kay, a Phoenix-based Disciplinarian and Spankologist, provides her insights to reader questions or those posed by All Things Spanking. Thursday Thoughts columnns are archived on a page of its own in addition to being available through the normal search feature. Please email if you wish to suggest a question for Ms. Victoria.

Question: Many spanking enthusiasts speak of judicial, punishment, maintenance, erotic, play, or other types of spankings. What are your thoughts on these various sub-categories for a spanking? Do you apply them, or do you subscribe to the philosophy that “one who has earned a spanking deserves the very best … an intense bottom burning experience?

Ms. Victoria says: My role as a top is actually to be of service and in that sense it is very important to understand and adjust accordingly to someones needs, interests and desires. I don’t feel that a one size fits all. There are definitely common threads that run through various types of Spankings however each one ends up being unique within itself. Now I have to say that everyone does leave with tingling and sore bottom though 😉 to various degrees.

There is an understanding and intention set before the session through correspondences, however once someone is in front of me in person and the spanking begins, there are forces at hand which direct and flow with the authentic energy transpiring. This is what I find most interesting and beautiful about individualized therapy. And I say therapy because honestly through all categories of spankings, one of the underlying elements I speak of is catharsis. People come in one way and leave a little or a lot transformed.

Great answer. By the time we get to be adults, few of us really need to seek out a professional to spank us for something we’ve done. Most of us who enjoy spanking do so because, in the end (the obligatory “no pun intended”) we feel good when it’s done. Catharsis, indeed.
