October 21 is the fifth annual Love Our Lurkers Day. Initiated by Bonnie (My Bottom Smarts), Love Our Lurkers Day is set aside for spankosphere bloggers to honor and reach out to those who visit our sites yet remain hidden and anonymous. Don’t get me wrong, we also dearly love, honor, and commend those who post comments on a regular basis. Yet, we know that there are many, many more of you out there than those who comment.
Over the past year, All Things Spanking has been blessed with approximately 1.5 million visitors and 5.5 million page views. The number of comments is considerably less. I understand that not all of my posts are such that all visitors would feel compelled to comment. That’s fine. I try to provide something for everyone. I do, however, encourage you to comment when content is meaningful, or strikes a chord with you. I appreciate all comments … good, bad, or indifferent. Comment on this post by clicking the response tab above; comment on any of the prior posts (I see all comments regardless of the post’s date); comment on a page (see the page list in the header bar); or, comment on all things. Just say “hi”; say a lot; say a little. I would love to hear from you!
And, if you do decide to continue as a lurker, I also appreciate that although I would be disappointed that you don’t come forward. I would know that you still visit. That means I must be doing something that is meaningful to you, and draws you back.
