Psychology Today weighs in … it’s not all bad
I’m pleased to see that the author of this article in Psychology Today’s blog agrees that all fetishes aren’t bad, “as long as no one is being hurt.” Safe, sane, consensual adult spanking does not hurt anyone other than the requisite sting and pain associated with the act itself. The Victorian Era also spawned another fetish: spanking.

A google search reveals that there are about 2,740,000 websites relevant to “spanking fetishes.” Still, it’s considered abnormal or strange.
So, I can’t help but think: Are fetishes bad?
