Here we look in on a strong caner administering stinging cuts to a well deserving lad at a past “Night of the Cane” (NOTC) competition in the UK. My research revealed that “Night of the Cane” is (was?) a party night hosted by The Firm, a UK SM group, and included a caning competition. NOTC occurred once a year from 1999-2007 although I see no reference to any more recent events. What a shame if it has been disbanded. Can anyone shed light on The Firm or NOTC?
Those of us on this side of the pond have a respectful interest in, and fear of, a well delivered caning, and I would love to see more of this type event. What would we call such a thing that is unique to the US:
- Period of the Paddle?
Swing (Dance) of the Switch?

There was an event last year, 8 November 2008 at Chats Place in Hackney, east London.
