I met a Domme a few years ago who had a replica of this strap. I thought it was from London Tanners, but they don’t show it online now. Oh, they have a Canadian Prison Strap, and an Arkansas Strap, but not Louisiana. Perhaps hers was special order? I agree with you, there’s an opportunity here.
I believe this photo come from the Tampa Tribune in the 60′s. It show the “strap” used at the “boys reformatory” in Marianna Florida. The caption read something to the effect, big but legal! Coprporal punishment was common is Florida schools, but every one I knew wanted to stay out of the boys school, because they knew to be on the receiving end of this strap would be almost more than nayone could take!
The most beautiful razor strop I have ever seen came from Reb’s in New York. Pity he went out of business. It was about 22″ long, 3″ wide and was rather heavy, with a nice looking wooden handle. It was beautiful to look at, and was rated severe, depending on how hard you wanted to swing. It felt fantastic across a naughty bare bottom too! If you needed your bare bottom blistered deep purple, this would do it. I miss it so much! Anyone know where you can get a similar one, or anyone have one and want to use it? mckenzie1967@hotmail.com
